David Rodigan inducted into UK Radio Academy Hall of Fame
David Rodigan has been inducted into the Radio Academy Hall of Fame. The ceremony took place at the UK Radio Hall of Fame lunch at the Savoy Hotel in London on Thursday 1st December. He is joining such luminaries as Peter Sellers, Tony Hancock, John Peel , Kenny Everett and Alan Freeman. Ras Kwame keeps John Peels legacy on BBC Radio 1
The BBC will continue with the John Peel's week night show at Radio 1 by a program called “OneMusic”. Three shows hosted by three DJs - chosen for their deeply musical knowledge throughout a variety of musical genres. On Wednesdays from 11pm to 1am, Ras Kwame will keep John Peel’s legacy alive on Radio 1. It is widely accepted that John Peel can never be replaced. Therefore the challenge of the new show is to keep his legacy alive.
